'Under the Sea' project completed

A culmination of a month's worth of work and two art classes' creativity is now on display at Wayne Middle School.

Eighth grade students in both of Amy Jackson's eighth grade art classes recently put up a mural and other works of art to create the "Under the Sea" project.

"The students first brainstormed with what they already knew about animal and plant life under the sea from science classes,"

Mrs. Jackson said. "They then did research on specific types of fish and other things that live deep below the ocean's surface."

Following research, the students made paper mache designs and created a mural to be used as a back drop for the fish and other creatures that are 'floating' from the ceiling.
