Prochaska signs to play at UNK
Allen volleyball standout Angela Prochaska signed a national letter of intent to play volleyball at the University on Nebraska-Kearney next fall.
Prochaska becomes the first Allen female athlete to play collegiate volleyball at the NCAA Division II level.
Prochaska lettered in volleyball and basketball for three years and holds several school records.
Prochaska led the Eagles to a 64-15 record the past three seasons.
School records include career kill spikes (661); kill spikes in a season (295); kill spikes in one match (27); spike attempts in one match (55); most kill spikes in a two-set match (21).
She averaged 5.26 kills per game with a .410 kill average - equivalent to a baseball players batting average.
She helped the Eagles to a pair of conference titles and two state tournament appearances.
She posted 20-plus kill spikes in four matches last season. She was named to the World Herald State D-2 Second Team.
