Pam Smith Named Miss Photogenic

In a ceremony Saturday evening at the Laurel High School gym, Pamela Smith, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Melvin Smith, and senior at Laurel High School, was named Miss Photogenic.

Miss Smith was chosen from a field of seven candidates selected by Genellis' Studios in Sioux City, Ia. on the basis of their senior class pictures.

Other finalists were Sandra Anderson, Ann Coughlin, Sally Finn, Rosie Hischman, Micky Mallet and Kim Matthews.

Each contestant wore formal attire and carried a single white rose.

Decorations were in shades of purple. Master of ceremonies was Senior Jon Dalao and entrance music was provided by Susan Purcell.

Miss Photogenic was presented a bouquet of red roses by the student council. The coronation and dance were sponsored by the annual staff and followed the basketball game.
