WSC students, faculty, staff shows they 'Have a Heart'

On Valentine's Day, Wayne State College students, faculty and staff responded in a big way to the 'Have a Heart' campaign which benefitted the Wayne Red Cross and the Wayne
Food Pantry.

The one-day campaign, co-sponsored by Chartwells and Roberts Dairy Co., resulted in a total of $223.85 donated to the Wayne Red Cross and 354 non-perishable food items that will be given to the Wayne Food Pantry.

For every donation of $1.00 or a non-perishable food item, Roberts Dairy donated a free ice cream treat. Donation sites were set up near the main cafeteria as well as in the lower food
court in the WSC Student Cener.

"This is the first time we've tried this promotion," said John Sinniger, manager of the Wayne State Chatwells food service. "We have been overwhelmed with the response from students, staff and faculty. I want to thank Roberts Dairy for providing the ice cream treats to those donating to the 'Have a Heart' campaign. We're hoping to make this an annual event."
