Cats lose to Peru 69-56; Host Plainsmen Saturday
The Wildcats tumbled off the NCC throne Saturday as they lost to Peru, 69-55.
Thus the return game, Peru coming to Wayne for the season finale Feb. 28, looms as the possible deciding factor for the title race.
The Wayne-Peru clash at Peru began as a fast-moving game of precision basketball, then rapidly deteriorated into a whistle-tooting orgy as officials called 58 fouls and sent seven players to the bench - five of them Wayne's.
