Public Invited to Missionary Meet

Pastor Marvin Bramman, who serves the Wayne Assembly of God Church, has announced that a program, open to the public, will be held this Friday evening at the church, featuring as guest speaker the Rev. Jerry Spain, a missionary to Tanzania, East Africa.

The program, which will begin at 7:30 p.m., will also include a film and curios and costumes from Tanzania. Spain and his wife and three children spent their first six months in Tanzania learning the Swahili language, opening the Northern Tanzania Bible School in 1968. More than a dozen tribes were represented in the first graduating class in November of 1970.

Spain graduated from Central Bible College in Springfield, Mo., and traveled as an evangelist and served churches in Lincoln and Chadron prior to going to Tanzania.
