Allen Band plays in half time of Nokia Sugar Bowl
After months and months of fund raisers trying to raise $44,000, the Allen Band made up of 56 students along with 14 adult
sponsors left Allen on Dec. 31 to New Orleans to take part in the Nokia Sugar Bowl. The bus arrived in New Orleans on Jan. 1,
and the group first went to the River Walk.
At the game, Allen's seats were next to the area where the LSU's locker room entrance was located. After the game, some of
the students were "high-fived" by the players. They did not get back to the hotel until midnight. The group arrived back in Allen
about 10:45 on Monday.
