January 9, 1975 —Dixon priest bucks snow drifts in Model A

Like amny antique car buffs, Father Tom Adams of Dixon is ready to forget about driving a modern car through the snows of Nebraska and to go back to the Model A. Old time automobniles are a good thing to drive in the deep snows since they are built high off the ground and have narrower tires than today's cars so the car can plow through snow easier. Father Adams was convinced when he was attending Omaha North High School that the Model A is the best fow winter driving. Now he's going to try it. The four-cylinder 1930 Ford coupe barreled its way through the drifts in Dixon during a trial run, the pastor of St. Anne's Church in Dixon said. All he needs now is a pair of chains for the rear tires, and both the car and the priest are on their way.
