Thomas Mercers Now Serving Springbank Church in Allen
Pastor and Mrs. Thomas Mercer arrived in Allen June 23 to serve the 60 members of the
Springbank Friends Church which is located two miles east of town.
Mercer, who delivered his first sermon Sunday morning, is no stranger to the Allen area.
In the summer of 1968, he had assisted the Rev. Phyllis Hickman who was serving pastor
at that time.
Mercers are replacing Keith and Judy Morse who are now serving at Hay Springs
Friends Church. Morses had been in Allen a year.
