Peterson is Ordained into Lutheran Ministry
Doniver H. Peterson, Wakefield, was one of the 46 young men who were ordained into the ministry of the Augustana Lutheran Church,
Wednesday evening, in Ford Auditorium, Detroit, Michigan.
The ordination service was the closing event in the life of the 102-year-old Augustana Church, which united with three other Lutheran bodies
to form the Lutheran Church in America Thursday.
Peterson's sponsor, who placed the stole on hi shoulders signifying his ordination, was the Rev. Charles Berstrom, Springfield, Massachusetts.
On July 23, Peterson will become pastor of Berea Lutheran Church.
