March 18, 1965 — Free pancake feed, radio broadcasts set for Wayne

A pancake feed, radio broadcast over WNAX and a program will be open free of charge to area residents Friday, Mar. 19, in the Wayne City Auditorium under sponsorship of the Sioux City Stockyards, University of Nebraska and WNAX radio. Serving of the free meal will start at 11:30. The noon news will be broadcast by Bob Hill of WNAX from the auditorium followed by Creighton Knau and his farm news. Market reports will follow by Warren Kester, George
German will conduct his inquiring farm reporter and Dr. Mike Turner (pictured) will discuss cattle futures. Dr. Turner is an extension economist and taught at Ohio State University before coming to UN. He has bachelor's, Master's, and PhD degrees in agricultural economics, is active in the American Farm Economics Association and Gamma Sigma Delta, national honorary agricultural society, and is in demand as a speaker.
