Woman's Club Hosts District Officers

About 40 women turned out for the annual district officers luncheon and meeting held Friday by the Wayne Federated Woman's Club. Among those present were district officers Mrs. Fred Larson, Oakland; Mrs. Ora Russell, Tekamah; Mrs. Walter Stark, Arlington; Mrs. Richard Lindberg, West Point; Mrs. Bruce Marr, Bancroft; Mrs. Gordon Bleich, Norfolk; Mrs.
Paul Murray, Thurston; Mrs. Marvin Westerhold, Pender; Mrs. Vernon Predoehl, Wayne; Mrs. Eldon Fox, Plainview; Mrs. Jack Hawley, Fremont and Mrs. Lambert Evacek, Pender.

Chamber Singers, under the direction of Dr. Cornell Runestad, presented "The Seven Words of Christ on the Cross," during the luncheon, held at the First Methodist Church. Dorcas
Circle of the church served the meal.

Following lunch, the group assembled at the club rooms for brief reports by officers. Mayor Kent Hall extended the welcome and Mrs. John Owens conducted group singing. Mrs.
Rollie Longe was chairman of the concluding coffee hour.

The state convention is set for April 4 through 5 and the next regular meeting will be Apr. 14.
