Valedictorian, Salutatorian named for Winside exercise
Commencement exercises for the 1963 graduating class of Winside High School will be held Thursday at 8 p.m. at the Winside Auditorium.
Jerilyn Thompson, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Duane E. Thompson, Winside, has been named valedictorian and Mary June Falk, daughter of Mrs. Mary Falk, Hoskins, has been named salutatorian.
Dr. Burkhardt, Norfolk, will deliver the commencement address, "Scarcity Value."
Dr. Burkhardt is now Superintendent of Schools Emeritus and President Emeritus of the Junior College at Norfolk.
Superintendent Wayne Gesiriech will present the wards, scholarships and eighth grade promotions.
Rev. H. M. Hilpert, pastor of St. Paul's Lutheran Church will give the invocation and benediction.
Karolyn Deck will sing, "We Will Have These Moment to Remember" and the girls sextette will sing "I'll Walk With God."
