Lee is named new CEO for Providence

The Providence Medical Center Governing Board announced theappointment of Thomas J. Lee as Chief Executive Officer Oct. 27.

Lee is currently CEO of Palo Alto County Health System in Emmetsburg, Iowa, a 25-bed hospital, 22-bed long-term care facility, with 10 employed providers, three regional clinics and over 220 employees.

He received his Bachelor of Science in Health Care Management in 1988, a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Creighton University in 1992, and a Master of Public Administration in Health Care Management from UNO in 2001. He has over 20 years
of experience in the healthcare industry. He replaces Mike Hammond, who has served as the interim administrator/CEO for the past six months.

Lee and his wife have two children - a daughter attending Benedictine College in Atchison, Kansas, and a son currently in the sixth grade. The projected start date for Lee to assume his duties as chief executive officer is Monday, Dec. 5.
