Winside Couple Mark Golden Year

Mr. and Mrs. August Voecks held an open house last Sunday afternoon St. Paul's Lutheran church parlors, Winside, to mark their golden wedding anniversary. Reuben Voecks was the host. A grandson, Kenneth Lehman, was in charge of the quest book. Julene Miller, a granddaughter, presided the gift table.

The anniversary cake was baked by Mrs. Carl Ehlers and cut and served by Mrs. Richard Miller, Winside, and Mrs. Fred Lehmen, Pilger.

Mrs. Reuben Voecks poured. Assisting with serving were Mrs. William Heier, Mrs. William Brudigan, Mrs. Alvin Carlson and Mrs. Esther Gerlemann.

Anna Muehlmeier and August Voecks were married Nov. 15, 1911 at Wayne. They lived on a farm near Hoskins before moving to Winside in 1952. They have three children, Reuben Voecks, Puyallup, Wash.; Mrs. Richard Miller, Winside; and Mrs. Fred Lehman, Pilger.
