Plans for Blue Devil Homecoming festivities

Wayne High School will hold its annual Homecoming festivities this coming weekend, highlighted by the crowning of the king and queen at the Friday football game. Opening the activities will be a huge pep rally. All Wayne high fans are invited to par-ticipate in this event in front of the Sportsland store in downtown Wayne. A second special pep rally will be held at the school immediately after classes Friday afternoon. This event will feature the Pep Band and school choir joining the Alma Mater. All students are urged to attend this rally. The Blue Devils will furnish the main activity Friday evening when they meet the Hartington Cedar Catholic football team on the field at 7:30 p.m. The traditional crowning of the Homecoming king and queen will be held at 7 in special pre-game ceremonies during which Shirley Nissen and Duane Bloomenkamp will place the crowns upon the choices of the student body.
