Packing plant gives tour
A complete tour of the Iowa Beef Packers packing plant at Denison, IA., Wednesday, gave area businessmen and farmers a look at an operation brought about by the cooperation of residents interested in their area's future.
The plant - which has processed 110,000 head of cattle since beginning operations in March - has a yearly payroll of over one million dollars.
Wayne is one of the communities in Nebraska that will be surveyed this fall as a possible location for such an operation.
