Cleaners opening in Wayne
Karen and George Holm of Wakefield have purchased the Wayne Cleaners business on Main Street in Wayne and will reopen the business under the new name K & G Wayne Cleaners by mid-November. The Holms have owned and operated K and G Cleaners in Wakefield for over a year and in recent months, the couple said the service route the had established for pickup
in Wayne had grown dramatically. Pat's Beauty Salon had been their pickup point in Wayne and George said the growth in their business had placed a hardship on the beauty shop. He
said the addition of the Wayne business to the cleaning operation they will maintain in Wakefield will allow the family business to provide some additional service. The couple have three children, Frank, 9; Charlie, 5 and Jennifer, 3.
