New language laboratory installed
A new language laboratory went into operation this week at Wayne State, providing foreign language students with the latest in electronic aids to learning. The laboratory, on the third floor of the Hahn Building, has 30 booths with earphones connected to the control panel, and 10 of the booths are also equipped with tape recorders. From the panel an instructor
can play five different lessons at once from three tape recorders and two record players.
Students also can record and hear their own voices- a technique that speeds improvement in the use of a language.
