Area leaders plan community improvements
Wayne State's Homecoming Queen will ascend the royal throne from among these seven co-eds Oct. 13.
In a departure from custom the queen's identity will remain secret until her presentation at the homecoming game that Saturday afternoon.
Members of the W Club chose the finalists, and the student body voted for the queen Wednesday.
The candidates: Nadyne Long, Norfolk; Janyce Johnson, Oakland; Maxine Vohs, Holstein, Iowa; Ardis Halleen, Wausa; Pat Wieting, Pierce; Suzanne Ryan, Tilden; and LaVeryl Nelson, Newcastle.
