National Assisted Living Week to be celebrated

On Aug. 30, Wayne Mayor Sheryl Lindau signed a proclamation declaring the week of Sept. 8-13 as National Assisted Living Week.

Plans are underway at Premier Estates in Wayne to celebrate the week with a number of activities.

Grandparents Day will be observed on Sunday, Sept. 8 with a block party. Also, the quartet group, "For The Master" will be entertaining.

The number of elderly and disabled citizens in our country is growing dramatically, affecting all citizens through the rising demand for quality long-term health care services.
