Pamela Jean (Heinemann) Nolte was born Jan. 18, 1955 to John and Ardyth Heineman. She attended School District 47 and Wayne High School and graduated with the class of 1973. She worked at State National Bank for many years, then First Realty in Wayne until her retirement.  She was married to Richard Nolte on May 4, 1974 and they were blessed with three children, Kim, Dan, and Jenny. They resided on the family farm in Wayne and were the perfect couple, both having a love for the land and their families. She was an active member of Grace Lutheran Church and was part of Stephen Ministry. She also helped with Sunday school and vacation bible school for many years.

Pam loved to golf, enjoyed playing league, and going with Dick, her kids and grandkids. She enjoyed Tuesday lunches with her friends, and wellness classes at the hospital until her health no longer allowed her to be in groups of people.

Pam was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and friend. She was very active in her children and grandchildren’s lives and spent a great amount of time going to games and their many events. Her greatest joy in life was her family and everyone knew that they were loved when she was around. She spent many hours talking to her kids on the phone every day. She enjoyed flowers and vegetable gardening and canned enough food for everyone in the family to eat for a couple of years.

Pam was a strong woman and her inner strength, commitment to family, and faith in Jesus is what allowed her to survive her many cancer treatments, and in February she finally found out she was in remission. She appreciated all the calls, cards and well-wishes from friends that constantly reminded her that she was loved and cared about.

Survivors include her husband of 50 years; her children Kim (John) Ely of Guide Rock, Dan (Shandi) Nolte of Wayne, and Jenny (Ty) Haas of Norfolk, as well as four grandsons, Ben and Gage Ely, Hunter and Easton Nolte and four granddaughters, Bentley and Emry Nolte, Hallie and Katie Haas.; her siblings Eldon (Ellen) Heinemann, Merlin (Colleen) Heinemann, and Myron (Doreen) Heinemann; brother-in-law Ken (Anne) Nolte;  sister-in-law Karen (Jim) Blenis; and stepsister, Darlene (Jim) Becker, and nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents and stepmom, John, Ardyth, and Emma Heinemann; parents-in-law, Wilbur and Phyllis Nolte; and stepbrother Vern (Sharon) Virka.
