Wayne High junior Marta Pulfer was tabbed as the team captain for the Mid State Conference All-Academic team that was announced Friday morning.
Pulfer, a member of the Blue Devil cross country team, scored a 35 on her ACT, the highest of the 89 student-athletes selected by the nine conference schools.
Pulfer is one of nine Wayne High students named to the team. Also selected were seniors Jenessa Kardell, Cole Koenig, Meg Osnes, Sylvia Jager, Morgan Carson, Amanda Stabler, Mason Reynolds and Jack Tyson.
