The National Family, Career and Community Leaders of America (FCCLA) Conference just wrapped up today and Wayne had two recent graduates earn a top 10 finish in the National STAR Competition.

Avery Herman and Brooklyn Mattison completed a chapter service project together this year and received a runner-up finish at the Nebraska State Conference in April. This qualified them to compete at the National FCCLA Conference in Denver, Colorado on July 3. The awards session was this morning(Thursday, July 6) and they earned a second place nationals finish in their STAR category.

"They dedicated a lot of time and energy to this project and this award is much deserved. If you see them around town, be sure to congratulate them on this achievement!" said Advisor Alina Surber.
