Johnnie Byrd Brewing Company holds chamber coffee

Johnnie Byrd Brewing Company at 121 N Pearl St, held Chamber Coffee on June 16 to inform attendees about its upcoming crawfish boil on Saturday, June 17.

The crawfish will be served from 12 to 6 p.m. with the boils getting pulled at 12, 2:30 and 5 p.m.  Greg Ptacek, owner, says the boils will get spicier with each pull, so come at the time with your desired spice level.

The event is a free will donation to eat and all proceeds will go toward the company's Mini Food Pantry and to create more like it around the community. 

Beer, other drinks and t-shirts will also be available for purchase. 

Luke Virgil, executive director of the Wayne Area Economic Development Chamber, also updated the group of upcoming events in the area. This weekend, Winside will host its Old Settlers Celebration and Wayne has its Wayne Baseball Association Tournament. 

On Saturday, June 17, the Boy Scouts have a Paper and Aluminum Can Drive at 8 a.m. and Farmers' Market will take place on the lawn at the Courthouse at 9 a.m.
