August 22, 1974 — Allen, Wakefield Youths Share 4-h Dairy Honors

Youths from Allen and Wakefield split evenly the top breed honors in the 4-H dairy show Monday afternoon at the Dixon County Fair. Mark Chapman, son of Mr. and Mrs. Richard Chapman of Allen, showed both the champion and reserve champion in Brown Swiss competition. Showing the champion Ayrshire was Jack Warner, son of Mr. and Mrs. Jim Warner of Allen. Taking runner up in that breed was his younger sister, Jeanne. A Wakefield brother and sister combined to sweep the top honors in the two other breeds, with Deb Domsch taking top place in the Guernsey class and her brother, Carl, taking top place in the Holstein class. Their parents are Mr. and Mrs. Bill Domsch.
