Fall is quickly approaching, but there are still some great activities happening around Northeast Nebraska to finish out your summer. Namely, the University of Nebraska and Nebraska Extension are again hosting the annual Family Field Day at the Haskell Ag Lab in Concord. This year, our event will be held on Thursday, Aug. 10, so don’t miss out!
Registration will begin at 8:30 a.m. and a variety of activities, presentations, and tours will occur from 9 a.m. - 2:30 p.m. This event is free and open to the public.
Presentations will include topics such as ag land values, cash rental rates, water quality, and research tours. Backyard Farmer will be on site to answer questions and interact with participants. Other activities include Northeast Arboretum tours, hands-on demonstrations, vendors, and children’s activities.
In addition to many exciting exhibits, an assortment of local food trucks will be serving snacks, drinks, and lunch. Tickets will be provided with each registration to be used at any food truck throughout the day.
Thursday, Aug. 10 is approaching quickly, so we encourage you to mark the date on your calendar! For more detailed information and a full schedule of events, please visit our website: go.unl.edu/halfieldday23 or our Facebook page.
