Pro bowler to lead clinic in Wayne

Posted

Wildcat Lanes in Wayne will be the location of a summer bowling clinic on August 1-3. It will be the first of its kind and caters to ages 10 and up. There will be two sessions per day from 9:30-noon and again from 1-3:30 p.m. The clinic will be conducted by former Professional Bowler Assocation’s Tony Bilello III.

Bilello spends his retirement going across the country doing these clinics. The Bayville, New Jersey journeyman is part of the Ritger Legacy Bowling Camps which started in 1977. What young and not-so-young bowlers can expect to learn is skill development drills to enhance consistency. He will talk and show systems to read and adjust to lanes from different houses, spare shooting and much more.

It is open to anyone in the area from age 10 and older. The cost of the clinic is free thanks to the many area sponsors. Bilello will be assisted by area high school coaches from Wayne, Hartington and Norfolk. Wildcat Lanes manager Cec Vandersnick said spectators are more than welcome to come and watch. “Everyone can get something out of Tony’s clinic,” Vandersnick said.
