It was a rough night at the office for the Wayne High wrestlers Thursday, as Battle Creek came to town and dominated the Blue Devils in a 76-0 shutout.
Eleven of the 14 matches ended in pins for the Braves. Mikey Reyes (220), Cameron Muhs (120) and Juan Vergara (132) were the only Blue Devils who lasted the entire six minutes of their match. Reyes lost on a close 3-1 decision, Muhs fell by a 10-4 score and Vergara lost on an 11-3 major decision.
Wayne did win three of four exhibition matches, with Harley Wheeler, Garrett Schafer and Isaac Cliff picking up wins.
Wayne High will compete Saturday at the Schuyler Invitational.
