Wayne volleyball suffers 3-0 home loss

With two regular season road matches and the conference tournament remaining on the in-season schedule, Wayne High volleyball concluded a busy series of home matches.

From the Wayne Jr/Sr High School gymnasium for the 14th time this season, Wayne High played host to an opponent. Crofton was in town on Thursday.

The visiting Warriors picked up the 3-0 sweep to improve to 15-5. Wayne High fell to 13-12.

Scores of the match favored Crofton 25-20, 25-23, 25-17.

Senior Amelia Legler recorded seven kills, three digs and three blocks (two solo); sophomore Mallory Redden posted 23 assists, seven digs and a kill as sophomore Addison Frank led Wayne in digs with 25.

Junior Elle Powicki (seven digs/two blocks), junior Haley Kramer (nine digs/one block) and sophomore Alexis Legler (two digs/four blocks) all added five kills as sophomore Naomi Lipp tallied one kill, three digs and two blocks. Other digs came from junior Jacen Hasemann (four).

Redden and Frank both finished with two service aces as Amelia Legler had an ace.
