According to a release from Wayne State Athletics, Quentin Dreyer was named the 2024-25 NSIC Elite 18 Award winner for men's indoor track & field.

Dreyer was presented the award Saturday evening during the post championship ceremony at the NSIC Indoor Track & Field Championships, which were held the past two days at Myers Field House in Mankato, Minnesota. As part of the NSIC 25th Anniversary celebration during the 2016-17 academic year, the NSIC Elite 18 Award was instituted to recognize the true essence of the student-athlete by honoring the individual who has reached the pinnacle of competition at the NSIC Championship level in their sport, while also achieving the highest academic standard among their peers. The NSIC Elite 18 award is presented to the student-athlete with the highest cumulative grade-point average participating at the finals site for each of the NSIC's 18 Championships.

Dreyer is a senior majoring in skilled and technical science education and holds a 4.00 grade point average.

The Manning, Iowa native placed in two events at this year's NSIC Indoor Championships taking sixth-place in the 1,000-meter run in a time of 2:32.76 and was seventh in the one-mile run at 4:16.90.

At last year's (2024) NSIC Indoor Championships Dreyer ran a leg on the eighth place distance medley relay team and was 12th in the 1,000-meter run (2:34.29).  In the 2023 NSIC Indoor Championships Dreyer ran a leg on fourth-place distance medley relay team and was ninth in the one-mile run.
