Wayne High School held its first annual Blue Devil seven on seven shootout on July 11 at the Kern Track. The day held a few pool games and a final, single-elimination tournament. Teams involved came from Wayne, both varsity and JV; Yankton, South Dakota; Canton, South Dakota; Doniphan Trumbull, Oakland Craig, O'Niell, David City and Ponca. Lunch was served following the first round of games. The WHS varsity team went 2-4 in the tournament.
