LCC volleyball continues winning ways; Rasmussen with double-double

After securing a road victory earlier in the week, the Laurel-Concord-Coleridge volleyball team competed on their home court.

From LCC Schools, the Bears welcomed Creighton on Thursday.

After going 15-1 in September, Laurel-Concord-Coleridge is now off to a 2-0 start in Oct.. LCC improved to 18-2 overall as the Bulldogs fell to 6-9.

Scores of the match favored LCC 25-14, 25-5, 25-5.

Sophomore Rena Rasmussen recorded a double-double with 15 kills and 12 digs while sophomore Carlie Kvols posted 35 assists, four digs and three kills.

Senior Tali Erwin followed with eight kills, six digs and a solo block; sophomore Kaida Eriksen added six kills and nine digs as junior Tyler Recob (two digs/one block) and senior Lainey Schutte (nine digs/one block) both had five kills. Other digs came from senior Baylie Graf (three).

Eriksen finished with four service aces as Rasmussen, Recob and Kvols all had an ace.
