New teams were added to the Laurel-Concord-Coleridge volleyball schedule since moving up a class to C1.
From the Bison Activity Dome in Central City, LCC played three matches during the Central City Invite on Saturday.
Laurel-Concord-Coleridge first swept Wood River (25-10, 25-12), won in three sets over Adams Central (23-25, 25-17, 25-22) and also picked up a three set victory over the host Central City (20-25, 25-18, 25-17).
The Bears are now 14-2 on the season.
In the win over Wood River, sophomore Rena Rasmussen recorded seven kills and three digs to go along with seven blocks (three solo); sophomore Carlie Kvols posted 16 assists, three digs, two blocks and one kill as sophomore Kaida Eriksen led the team in digs with 10 along with five kills.
Senior Tali Erwin followed with six kills, four digs and two blocks (one solo) as junior Tyler Recob (two blocks, one solo/three digs) and senior Lainey Schutte (six digs) both had one kill. Other digs came from senior Baylie Graf (four).
Eriksen finished with three service aces, followed by Schutte with two as Kvols had an ace.
During the victory against Adams Central, Rasmussen recorded a double-double with 14 kills and 10 digs to go along with two blocks (one solo) while Kvols added a double-double with 32 assists and a team-high 11 digs to go along with five kills and two blocks (one solo).
Schutte followed with eight kills and five digs; Erwin tacked on six kills and 10 digs; Eriksen tallied five kills and nine digs as Recob had one kill and three digs. Other digs came from sophomore Millie Schutte (four).
Erwin posted two service aces as Recob, Schutte, Eriksen and Kvols all had an ace.
From the win against the host Central City, Rasmussen posted a double-double with 11 kills and 14 digs to go along with three blocks while Kvols recorded 29 assists, nine digs, two blocks (one solo) and one kill.
Erwin (three digs) and Eriksen (13 digs/three blocks, two solo) both added eight kills; Schutte tacked on two kills, eight digs and four blocks (one solo) as Recob had one kill, four digs and two blocks. Other digs came from Graf (10).
Rasmussen totaled four service aces, Erwin followed with three as Schutte and Eriksen both had two aces.
