Rolling Hills Post 43 Seniors add two more wins

It was a Seniors-Only doubleheader last Thursday for Rolling Hills Post 43 to extend their winning streak.

From Hank Overin Field in Wayne, Post 43 entertained Peltz Construction Spartans out of Alliance.

The Rolling Hills Post 43 Seniors won 6-1 and 14-1 to improve to 14-1 and secure their seventh and eighth straight victories.

In the opening game, Alliance led with a run in the first inning before Rolling Hills Post 43 scored four runs in the fourth and sixth innings to win 6-1 and outhit Alliance, 10-3.

Calvin Ankeny singled twice, drove in two runs and scored twice; Jaxson Kneifl singled twice, drove in a run and scored; Gavin Redden singled, tripled and scored as Wyatt Heikes doubled and drove in a run.

Aiden Liston singled and drove in a run as Jase Dean and Alex Rodriguez both singled and scored.

Redden (87 pitches) picked up the complete game victory in seven innings allowing one run off three hits while striking out two batters.

During the second outing, the Rolling Hills Post 43 Wayne Seniors led 5-1 after the first inning and 7-1 following the second. Wayne then doubled their run production with a seven-run fourth inning to win 14-1 and outhit Alliance, 15-3.

Redden doubled, tripled, drove in four runs and scored; Kaleb Moormeier singled, doubled and scored twice; Kneifl singled, doubled, drove in a run and scored twice; Aiden Liston doubled, drove in two runs and scored; Adrian Contreras doubled and scored twice as Ankeny doubled and drove in a run.

Jase Dean singled twice and scored twice as Zander Liston, Heikes, Brayden Rajaee-Hallgren and Alex Rodriguez all singled, drove in a run and scored.

Contreras (99 pitches) picked up the win in four innings allowing an earned run off three hits while striking out five batters and walking six. Gavin Anderson (19) worked the final inning striking out and walking one batter each.
