ESU 1 Receives Film From Feeders

"Norman Borlaug: Revolutionary," a 15 minute color-sound film has been given to Education Service Unit 1 by the Northeast Nebraska Livestock Feeder's Association.

In the film, Dr. Borlaug, a U. S. Agronomist and winner of the 1970 Nobel Peace Prize "for his efforts to ease world hunger by developing high-yield wheat strains," discusses modern agriculture and "emphasizes basic priorities that must be implemented for survival."

Such immediate matters as population growth, pesticide use and
waste pollution are considered in the film.

The Feeders gave the film to Unit 1 in hopes that it will reach as
many persons as possible in the northeast Nebraska area, according to Bill McQuistan, association president.

Mills said the film would be available to all schools, adult education classes, and organizations in the area.

Films from Unit 1 are usually booked 30 days in advance.
